Since everything is manual I don't know how difficult this would be but I
would like to build OpenShot 2.0 so that those who want to try it out can
but it's still officially considered beta.

Go for it, build it for F23 , but do a little tests before :), I also
would like to try it.
We have latest version in rpmfusion-free, so will be easy downgrade if
need a contingent plan .

I can update git preview but as far as I know I can't upload sources since
CVS is closed. If I update the spec, can you download the source for it?

Best would by to build it locally and provide the package elsewhere.
We don't have a copr like space in RPM Fusion, so you need to have it
hosted somewhere else.
Also the devel branch still point to f23, so this is probably only relevant
for rawhide as in f24.
