I recently got this[1] bug report because attempting to install
avidemux-gtk is pulling in qt packages.
I'm trying to sort it out but there are cli, qt,& gtk libraries
littered throughout the -libs and -plugins sub-packages. I'm almost
through sorting through them and moving them to their respective -cli,
-gtk, -qt sub-packages but I noticed that the -plugins sub-package is
already down to about 600k. Is there any reason to keep it separate
from -libs?
I think the only way the -plugins package doesn't get installed is if
you were to install the -libs package only, which is not very useful.
Ok sounds to me like it is a good idea to just fold the -plugins into
the -libs package then.
If I were to put the contents of -plugins into -libs, would I just
need to add a simple "Obsoletes:" tag to the new -libs package?
Yes and a Provides tag (in case anything outside of avidemux has
a Requires on it.
