Er, no, if you read the python, it looks like it has code to unpack
rars if
commandline unrar is unavailable. I originally wrote the package intending it
for inclusion in Fedora, hence the lack of a Requires: unrar. But now, it
should be added back again (not a huge deal).
Are you sure that there is a problem in shipping this package in Fedora? It
does not depend on unrar. The problem unrar has is in its license and not in
the algorithm AFAIK:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Licensing/Unrar
The package has its own fallback algorithm to unpack that has a different
license.
I see no good reason not to include this package in Fedora. If you have doubts,
can you please check with Fedora legal?
