Hi,
I submitted a package for inclusion in the RPM Fusion repositories
at https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440 . This is my
first submission to RPM Fusion, so I am in need of a sponsor. I would
also appreciate any general feedback.
I noticed a Gameboy Advance emulator was in the wish-list, and I
have been trying some of my games with VBA-M. It seems to work
flawlessly on my system, so I thought I would submit my spec to help
with that wish-list item. All the code is released under GPLv2
(except one file under the LGPL).
At the moment, I only have a 64-bit Intel system to test for
building--which seems to crash when I try to emulate other
architectures with QEMU. I would greatly appreciate if anyone with
some spare time and a non-x86_64 architecture system can leave build
feedback on the bug report.

x86_64 or ia64?
x86_64 can build i586 packages in mock directly -- so you can do that fairly
easily. QEMU emulation of ppc{,64} was broken last I heard.

Hi,
It is a Core2 Duo, which I thought was x86_64. Yum segfaults when
called with --install-root to the F10 i386 directory, so maybe not.
I will eventually reassemble some 64-bit AMD machines, and I know
they are able to build for i386 at least. (I will also see if QEMU
has any luck on them for some other archs.) That will probably be a
project for the weekend, though.

It's x86_64 if you've installed the x86_64 version of Fedora. Try running:
mock -r fedora-10-i386 path/to/srpm
to build it.

You can't build x86_64 on an i386 installation (even if the CPU supports 64
bits), only the opposite.
You have to install a 64-bit Fedora.

Yes, sorry if I wasn't clear. The installed OS is 64-bit Fedora
10, and mock fails F10 or rawhide in an i386 configuration. (Yum
segfaults in when checking dependencies of the build requirements for
the F10 mock, and rawhide says it fails due to RPM 4.5 and 4.7
differences.)
I was successfully able to build using mock for Fedora 9 and older
in i386, though.

Hi,
I am up to date with Fedora 10 packages--no rawhide packages are
installed on this machine. I run the basic `mock -r fedora-10-i386
rpm`, and it dies with this:
ERROR: Command failed:
# /usr/bin/yum --installroot /var/lib/mock/fedora-10-i386/root/
resolvedep ccache 'cmake' 'libXv-devel' 'libglademm24-devel'
'gtkglextmm-devel' 'desktop-file-utils' 'SDL-devel'
That yum command works fine without the install root specified.
Trying anything at all using that root makes it unhappy.
# yum --installroot /var/lib/mock/fedora-10-i386/root/ info kernel
Segmentation fault
I have tried deleting the mock build directories and all local
caches for yum, etc. The mock logs don't tell me anything other than
yum quit in error. Am I doing something obviously wrong? (Again, the
same command works fine with Fedora 9 specified instead.)
