Hi,
I'm the upstream author of Mopidy. I've a few comments:
- pyspotify is an optional dependency for Mopidy. It can work as a MPD server
playing only locally stored music without the help of pyspotify. Thus, I guess
Mopidy may be packaged in Fedora instead of RPM Fusion?
I just want to clarify this point. Does mopidy automatically detect pyspotify
and enable it when it is available or is it something that needs to be
configured at build time?
- python-alsaaudio is an optional dependency as well. You can use it
to control
volume using ALSA mixers, though by default Mopidy adjusts volume in software
using GStreamer. I believe very few users are interested in switching to using
python-alsaaudio.
That may be, but I'm one of those users, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to pull
it in as a requirement.
- Mopidy do use pygobject2 for it's main loop and related to its
use of
GStreamer.
Great! I'm still waiting to see if someone is actually interested in reviewing
this and all of the intermediate dependencies into Fedora/RPM Fusion. We do
have libspotify reviewed and in RPM Fusion, but the rest of the packages still
need to be reviewed.
