I tried checking out sdlmess in the nonfree repo, and it was not
there. I then tried to do an import, but this also did not work:

I just tried to import a (new) version of stella, but it fails with an ACL error:
? devel/import.log
**** Access denied: jwrdegoede is not in ACL for rpms/stella/devel
cvs commit: Pre-commit check failed
cvs [commit aborted]: correct above errors first!
cvs commit: saving log message in /tmp/cvsaR0sId
Notice how it does not mention free in the path: "not in ACL for
rpms/stella/devel", not sure if thats relevant
I used this command todo the import:
common/cvs-import.sh -t free -b devel
~/dribble/stella/devel/stella-2.6.1-1.fc10.src.rpm

Hi, I did try to import my module as I indicated in my original
message, but it does not work. It gives me an error saying the module

I was importing to devel, so there is no branch file. But indeed,
importing to F-9 silenced these errors. Anyway, the second part of the
issue remains:

The "error: Macro ....." stuff can be ignored (for now) your upload to the
lookaside cache is failing because you didn't specify a tree, with rpmfusion
you must use:
cvs-import -t free foo.srpm
or:
cvs-import -t nonfree foo.srpm
This is needed because, well, we have 2 trees :)

the lookaside cache is failing because you didn't specify a tree, with
rpmfusion you must use:
cvs-import -t free foo.srpm
or:
cvs-import -t nonfree foo.srpm
This is needed because, well, we have 2 trees :)

Try using "-t non-free" (my bad).
Btw, the cvs-import.sh script says there is a deault value for tree,
but
it is set to free for non-free tree (hope it is clear :):
Its lying, the only place where it checks if -t was passed and otherwise
assumes free is in the help output, usefull isn't it :) (this is something
which we will need to fix, just like it complaining when run from a devel branch).

make any sense at all because I have modified the cvs-import.sh script
like so:

Looks like my certificate was invalid. I managed to get further, but I
encountered more issues:

2. There is some problem with tags. Devel should be fc10, or rf10, or
whatever. It is fc9 now.
3. sdlmame-data in devel branch was tagged with fc8 tag by laxathom. Not

Argh, I see it in the src.rpm that Basic/Kernal ROM are included in the
2.1 series as hex dumps (dumping the compatibility modes so RSID files
could become more widely used). Simon should not have published it under
GPL then -- this is clearly grey-area stuff. At least it has become
easier to package it now with reSID included and so on.
