kmod problem
by Neal Becker
I have akmod-nvidia installed. Why does yum update keep pulling in kmod-
nvidia-xxx?
I thought that having akmod, I would already have built the needed update for
the latest kernel mod built.
uname -a: 2.6.27.7-134.fc10.x86_64
So I already have nvidia kmod for this kernel. I did yum update and got:
kmod-nvidia-2.6.27.7-134.fc10.x86_64

1.3.6 open m4a file seg faults
by Agnes Jones
Hi, I'm working on updating the rpmfusion audacity-freeworld package to
1.3.6. I found the following backtrace, which is at File Open and
choosing an m4a file that was created with audacity 1.3.6 exported as
ffmpeg m4a. The file can be played normally in mplayer:

Note this is 1.3.6 with a patch that encompasses the changes FFmpeg.h
cvs since 1.3.6. Mmmn; I tried to reproduce but have been unsuccessful
so far.

Why do kmods automatically depend on kmod-common?
by Felix Kaechele
Hi there!
I'm trying to package the zaptel drivers for RPMFusion. I ran into the
problem that zaptel (which is in Fedora) removed it's "Provides:
zaptel-kmod-common" in late 2006. Now, of course, there are dependency
problems when trying to install the kmod.
Is it absolutely necessary to depend on kmod-common or can this be
deactivated somewhere in the spec?
Or should I contact the Maintainer of zaptel in Fedora and ask him to
provide zaptel-kmod-common within his package again?
