Please make sure you packages is in there and add it if necessary. It should work just like in Fedora, just remember that that free and nonfree repos of course have different comps files ;-) Cu knurd

[Fwd: Build Error (Job 679): sdlmame-data-0127-1_fc8 on fedora-8-rpmfusion_nonfree]

Hi, According to a brief discussion with Thorsten, mock should not look for ppc64 under f8 since we are not building for f8/ppc64. Yet, sdlmame build queued a bit earlier did build for this arch. So, unless it has been disabled after sdlmame and before -data, I don't get it. Also, what is wrong with f8/ppc64? mirrors

Hi! A few people offered to become a mirror. That's great! Everyone normally can create a mirror, as the rsync access to the master repo normally is public ( rsync://download1.rpmfusion.org ). the rsync server is just down right now :-/ Hopefully it's available again soon. So if you would like to become a official mirror then I'd say this is the best way forward: - create a mirror - add the mirror URL and a contact email to http://rpmfusion.org/Mirrors Once we set up a rough mirrorlist (see https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40 ) or a MirrorManager we'll add your mirror or get in touch with you for further details. request build on just one arch ?

Hi, I receive a build result message: 696 (audacity-freeworld): Build on target fedora-8-rpmfusion_free succeeded. Build logs may be found at http://buildsys.rpmfusion.org/logs/fedora-8-rpmfusion_free/696-audacity-f... I notice a build did not complete {nor inform failure} for f8 on ppc64: http://buildsys.rpmfusion.org/plague-results/fedora-8-rpmfusion_free/auda... I didn't receive a build failed message, so perhaps this job went awol, or the results/rpm did not copy back to the web server ? If that is the case, is there a way to request a build for just one branch on one arch ? DavidT.

Trouble confirming FAS e-mail change

I need to change the e-mail address I originallyprovided to the FAS. I received the confirmation e-mail, however, when following the link I get the following error (after logging in and clicking on the Confirm button): The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request. /me is on vacation

Hi! Just a few weeks ago I mentioned in https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-devel-list/2008-August/msg00379.html that I prefer to not mention when on vacation. But there are a lot of things cooking in rpmfusion right now, so I suppose it'll be quickly noticed when I'm afk anyway. Thus it might be easier for everyone if I announce it directly: I'm on vacation the next two weeks. During the first week (starting tomorrow) I'm traveling; I might have internet access for a few minutes each day, but I likely won't be able to go through all of the mail each day; if there is something really urgent drop me a line, with a bit of luck I'll find enough time to see it and reply to it. In the second week I'll be at home again, but I'll suppose I won't find much time for the computer. Xavier should be able to help with most things. Hopefully we soon reach a point where all the crucial bits are reachable and fixable by at least two people, but we are not there yet; sorry... CU knurd P.S.: I already have a bit of a mail backlog; sorry, I did not find enough time to get my inbox down to zero messages. [Fwd: Build Error (Job 657): qmc2-0_2-0_5_b4_fc8 on fedora-8-rpmfusion_nonfree]

Hi list, it turns out this problem is caused by an old kernel/glibc (without lutime) being installed on the builder in conjunction with older rsync in f8. The workaround would be to use rsync -rlp instead of rsync -rlpt, but the question is whether it's possible to reasonably detect the os the builder is running? upgrade path for current fedora releases - audacity

Hi All, For the existing livna-releases for F8 and F9, should we plan on bumping the release {even if there is no other change} so that the user would get updated to the rpmfusion package ? Is it better to leave them on their current version ? I didn't think much off it for smaller {libraryish packages}, but for a large package like audacity-nonfree, containing both devel and semi-stable audacity releases, it works out for i386 as a download of 5.2MB or so. Second related query, in this instance the original {Michael's} devel spec is a dev release newer than what was in livna f8,f9. What do you think about updating F8, F9 users to this later dev release ? Michael has mentioned that audacity devel releases sometimes break previously working code. The bits that I've tested seem OK, and that package provides a dual installed older version. This means that a user who found something to be problematic in the current devel, could try the earlier release instead {from the menu: this is quite handy as well if you want to check whether the current release has broken something}. ps. I also plan on adding the Requires: lame-libs, so that mp3 export just works. But perhaps there was a good reason to leave this out of the livna and / or rpmfusion package ? DaveT.
