Description:
Graphical network simulator that allows you to design complex
network topologies. You may run simulations or configure devices
ranging from simple workstations to powerful Cisco routers.
It uses Dynamips, an IOS emulator and PEMU, a PIX emulator which
allow users to run IOS and PIX binary images from Cisco Systems.
* rpmlint rpmbuild/RPMS/i586/gns3-0.6.1-1.fc11.i586.rpm
gns3.i586: E: no-binary

[Bug 2098] New: Review request: dolphin-emu - Gamecube / Wii / Triforce Emulator

Dolphin is a Gamecube, Wii and Triforce (the arcade machine based on the
Gamecube) emulator which supports many extra features and abilities not present
on the original consoles.
Why it's not in Fedora: Emulators of video game systems seem to have legal
problems, which is not a new story for such applications, thus this excluded
from the fedora repos.
I left a bunch of comments in the SPEC file for easer review. As well, no
source code changes should be required between distribution versions (e.g. f15
and f16), thus the source rpm should be quite agnostic. Although, it does need
to be build every major change in dependency versions (e.g. SDL 1.2.X to 1.3.X
or glew 1.6.X to 1.7.X), which should only happen every distribution upgrade
anyway.
This package is already posted in the Wishlist by the way, and is licensed as
FOSS (GPL2). This is my first RPM Fusion package and I would assume I would
want a sponsor? Though I'm not sure what that is to be honest.

SOURCE RPM URL: (though f16, should be distribution agnostic)

RPMLINT WARNINGS:
Gamecube is not in the dictionary, hence this warning:
dolphin-emu.x86_64: W: spelling-error Summary(en_US) Gamecube -> Game cube,
Game-cube, Gamecock
I'm pretty sure this is required, hence why I left it in:
dolphin-emu.x86_64: E: zero-length
/usr/share/dolphin-emu/user/GameConfig/WBEEJV.ini
I don't believe a manpage is required or even existent. Should I convert the
readme file to a manpage?
dolphin-emu.x86_64: W: no-manual-page-for-binary dolphin-emu
I'm unfamiliar with this error and rpmlint -I file-not-in-%lang provides no
explanation. Dolphin seems to run fine, but any help/feedback would be great.

RHEL6 mplayer, vlc and codecs for Totem
by Colin Simpson
Hi
I have been using rpmfusion for Fedora for ages and I have recently
introduced it here for RHEL6. However one thing it seems to lack are any
multimedia tools. For me these would include mplayer, VLC and the codecs
Totem looks for when asked to play non-built in file types.
Any plans to build these for RHEL6?
Thanks
Colin

SPEC file: http://jhladky.fedorapeople.org/TestU01.spec
SRPM: http://jhladky.fedorapeople.org/TestU01-1.2.3-1.fc16.src.rpm
=============================Description=====================================
TestU01 is a software library, implemented in the ANSI C language, and offering
a collection of utilities for the empirical statistical testing of uniform
random number generators.
The library implements several types of random number generators in generic
form, as well as many specific generators proposed in the literature or found
in widely-used software. It provides general implementations of the classical
statistical tests for random number generators, as well as several others
proposed in the literature, and some original ones. These tests can be applied
to the generators predefined in the library and to user-defined generators.
Specific tests suites for either sequences of uniform random numbers in [0,1]
or bit sequences are also available. Basic tools for plotting vectors of points
produced by generators are provided as well.
Additional software permits one to perform systematic studies of the
interaction between a specific test and the structure of the point sets
produced by a given family of random number generators. That is, for a given
kind of test and a given class of random number generators, to determine how
large should be the sample size of the test, as a function of the generator's
period length, before the generator starts to fail the test systematically.

[Bug 2101] New: Review request: vbam - Gameboy Advance Emulator combining features of all VBA forks
by RPM Fusion Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2101
Bug #: 2101
Summary: Review request: vbam - Gameboy Advance Emulator
combining features of all VBA forks
Classification: Unclassified
Product: Package Reviews
Version: Current
Platform: All
OS/Version: GNU/Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal

ReportedBy: alexjnewt(a)hotmail.com
CC: rpmfusion-package-review(a)rpmfusion.org
I'm already submitted this under a different package name but I changed the
name to something more suitable, thus I closed the other request and opened
this.
VBA-M is a fork from the now inactive VisualBoy Advance project, with goals to
improve the compatibility and features of the emulator with: Improved Save
Handling, Improved Archive Support, Improved Input Capabilities, New built-in
Pixel Filters, KEGA Fusion Filter Plugin Support, Blargg's GB_APU, UPS Patch
support, and JoyBus support.
Why it's not in Fedora: Emulators of video game systems seem to have legal
problems, which is not a new story for such applications, thus this excluded
from the fedora repos.
This package is already posted in the Wishlist by the way (under
VisualBoyAdvance Merge (VBA-M)), and is licensed as FOSS (GPL2). This is my
second RPM Fusion package, the first of which has yet to be accepted
https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2098). As well, I would assume I
would want a sponsor for this.
I left a bunch of comments in the SPEC file for easer review. Note that this is
a pre-release, no stable versions exist, though this release is very stable (RC
quality). Also note that there is a newer pre-lease than this (1.8.0.1042), I'm
currently trying to figure out how to build it without errors (has a SVN Error
stating it's not a working copy).
SPEC URL:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/42480493/vbam.spec
SOURCE RPM URL: (though f16, should be distribution agnostic)
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/42480493/vbam-1.8.0.1001-1.fc16.src.rpm
RPMLINT WARNINGS:
Gameboy is not in the dictionary, thus this error is expected:
vbam.x86_64: W: spelling-error Summary(en_US) Gameboy -> Game boy,
Game-boy, Homeboy
I'm pretty sure man pages are optional, and I don't think they exist for vba-m,
so I ignored these:
vbam.x86_64: W: no-manual-page-for-binary gvbam
vbam.x86_64: W: no-manual-page-for-binary vbam
I was unsure if I should add a patch for this or ignore it, it functions just
fine with the error:
vbam.x86_64: E: invalid-desktopfile /usr/share/applications/gvbam.desktop
value "Application;Game;Emulator;GTK" for string list key "Categories" in group
"Desktop Entry" does not have a semicolon (';') as trailing character
the source rpm only gives the dictionary warning
