Summary: Advanced audio and video capturing, compositing, and editing
I would like to help merging cinelerra-cv within RPM Fusion.
Few notes:
cinelerra need to be renamed to cinelerra-cv because the cinelerra name is from
Herroine-Virtual, Hence there is a need to avoid conflicting namespace.(it
remains to have the locale renamed along with some internals libraries
dropped).
--with libmpeg3_system is meant to be used with libmpeg3 from current rawhide.
F-8/F-9 will use the current internal snapshot. This is the most recent patch.
Might need the same patch for mpeg2enc (will needs more testing).
Some of the patches still bundled was already submitted upstream. But
unfortunately, the "community upstream" failed to understand why they are
needed.
I will give a re-try today.
@Matthias
I would like to co-maintain cinelerra-cv with you. But the current way bugzilla
works for now, assume the primary owner to be the default assigned e-mail to
any bugreport.
Would you agree if I'm this primary owner ?

[Bug 585] New: Review Request: z-push - ActiveSync over-the-air implementation for mobile syncing
by RPM Fusion Bugzilla
http://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=585
Summary: Review Request: z-push - ActiveSync over-the-air
implementation for mobile syncing
Product: Package Reviews
Version: Current
Platform: All
OS/Version: GNU/Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: Review Request
AssignedTo: rpmfusion-package-review(a)rpmfusion.org
ReportedBy: rpmfusion-bugzilla(a)linuxnetz.de
CC: rpmfusion-package-review(a)rpmfusion.org
Estimated Hours: 0.0
Spec URL: [Will come very soon]
SRPM URL: [Will come very soon]
Description:
Z-push is an implementation of the ActiveSync protocol which is used
'over-the-air' for multi platform ActiveSync devices, including Windows
Mobile, iPhone, Sony Ericsson and Nokia mobile devices. With Z-push any
groupware can be connected and synced with these devices.
For use cases of Z-push with the Zarafa Outlook Sharing and Open Source
Collaboration, please use the prepared package zarafa-z-push.
I'll add the spec file and source rpm this evening or so, then I also will
set RF_NEW blocker. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=498194 is a
blocker dependency as well. Before that, this package unluckily doesn't make
that much sense. Of course z-push is nice with IMAP and so as well, but the
main purpose is with Zarafa.

Attempting to update omnibook, omnibook-kmod, and akmod-omnibook
by Ryan Martin
Greetings! My name is Ryan Martin, and I've been an OSS developer and
part-time sysadmin for about 10 years. My strongest skills are in
Perl, database, and web development, but I'm something of a
jack-of-all-trades, preferring to figure things out and make them work
rather than wait for someone "more qualified" to get around to it.
I've been using RedHat/Fedora/CentOS as my development workstation and
server OS of choice since 2005.
Recently, I was able to fix a bug in the Omnibook support package, a
somewhat abandoned set of drivers for certain laptop-specific
functions of many HP and Toshiba laptops.
I've got the source on my laptop and I can manually build a new kmod
each time I upgrade my Fedora kernel. However, this is time-consuming,
and potentially leaves me with an unbootable kernel if I forget to
build the new kmod after installation but before rebooting. What I'd
really like is for the upstream patches to be included in the RPM
Fusion kmod and akmod packages going forward.
I've been going through the process of joining RPM Fusion in order to
update these packages, but I've hit a bit of a deadlock. According to
the contributors page, in order to get sponsored and get CVS access to
RPM Fusion, I'm supposed to submit a package for review. However,
rather than reinvent the akmod and kmod spec file from scratch, I'd
like to update the exising ones. It seems that without getting
sponsored, I cannot get the ssh access to cvs.rpmfusion.org that would
allow me to check out and review the work that's already been done.
How can I get access to the spec files for the above packages, so that
I can create packages for review?
Best regards,
Ryan Martin

Fedora 15 is out
by Valent Turkovic
Hi guys,
I have been using RPM Fusion F15 repost for Fusion Linxux for some
time now and they worked great, just installed Fedora 15 and installed
your repo on my main work machine, and again everything is working
flawlessly. So congratulations for making great and stable repo. Just
a little heads up - there is no mention of Fedora 15 on your main site
so that could confuse people into thinking that you don't have F15
repo ready.
Cheers,
Valent.

I removed a few packages from the devel/F15 repos due to broken deps
by Thorsten Leemhuis
Hi!
I was a bit rude earlier today and without any warning removed a few
packages from the devel repos (that just became the F15 release repos)
due to broken deps. See the list below for details; would be good if
anybody would tell the maintainers directly, but I don't care about RPM
Fusion enough these days to file bugs myself. Of course all of them can
simply be reintroduced by building a update.
