SPEC - http://forums.pcsx2.net/attachment.php?aid=39888
Description: PCSX2 is an open source Playstation 2 emulator. It requires a dump
of a real Playstation 2 BIOS, which is not included.
Why this package is not eligible to be included in Fedora: Fedora does not
allow emulators
The output rpmlint gives on both the source and binary packages:
$ rpmlint pcsx2-1.0-2.fc16.src.rpm

This is my first RPM fusion package. It is built with the help of a packager on
fedora forums - I am a packaging novice - and then maintained by me on the
fedora forum for about a year]
I am seeking a sponsor.

Non-redistributable packages: Skype, spotify, ...
by Alec Leamas
On the wishlist and/or dead reviews we have some re-distributable
packages such as skype, spotify and msttcore-fonts. After scratching my
head over these I've hacked some silly scripts , called them lpf (Local
package Factory) and made a package of it. It's on it's way into fedora,
currently in rawhide, f20 and f19 updates-testing.
Using this package it should be simpler to package a thing like spotify.
The downloader lpf-spotfy-client is also on it's way into fedora,
lpf-skype needs a review. The overall idea here is to have a common
framework for these packages simplifying for both users and packagers.
Since they by definition don't contain any upstream stuff they go into
fedora rather than rpmfusion, although they are on the rpmfusion wishlist.
I don't know if this is a good idea. Time will tell,

i686 binary packages in the x86_64 repository
by Simone Caronni
Hello,
the Steam review has been taken, however the reviewer wonders if the
infrastructure can cope with i686 binary packages being pushed to the
x86_64 repository. I thought it was possible, but this is my first review
in RPMFusion so I don't know details of the infrastructure.
When installing in a x86_64 system, the package pulls in the correct 32 bit
dependencies. Currently I'm using Steam with 65 games on a 64 bit Fedora 19
host.
The same package is the currently suggested one [1] from Valve for running
Steam on both i386 and x86_64 hosts. The package was created by me and
adjusted based on feedback from the Steam community forum with users
providing additional information and testing pulling from my personal
repository page [2]. In fact, 99% of the users run a 64 bit distribution.
It would be a shame not to see this appear in RPMFusion just for a limit of
the infrastructure.
Can the i686 be pushed also to the x86_64 repository once reviewed?
Thanks & regards,
--Simone

wl-kmod for F-18
by Nicolas Viéville
Hello,
There seems that last F-18 build for wl-kmod stayed stuck in buildsys
and was not pushed in corresponding testing repository.
As I'm not the original submitter of the build job 18707 on buildsys,
plague refuse me to resubmit this job.
I wonder if it was possible to make something without submitting a new
build process (without bumping release number), probably in running the
script that pushes these packages once there are correctly built. I
would be very grateful if someone could point to me the correct command
to achieve this task if possible.
Cordially,

Installer for the Steam software distribution service.
Steam is a software distribution service with an online store, automated
installation, automatic updates, achievements, SteamCloud synchronized
savegame and screenshot functionality, and many social features.
Spec URL: http://slaanesh.fedorapeople.org/steam.spec
SRPM URL: http://slaanesh.fedorapeople.org/steam-1.0.0.42-1.fc19.src.rpm
This package cannot be in Fedora as it's not free and comes as a binary package
only. The package is i686 only but installs perfectly fine on an x86_64 system
just using yum. It's in the Fedora RPMFusion wishlist.

These macro in comments are for the command line required for generating
dependencies on Steam downloaded binaries; it is nice to have them at hand to
check for new dependencies whenever a new Steam client is automatically
downloaded.

1 packages and 0 specfiles checked; 37 errors, 7 warnings.
Notes on rpmlint on the binary package: the explicit-lib-dependency can be
ignored; these are the dependencies used by the Steam client itself, and need
to be on the system BEFORE the actual Steam client is downloaded. The package
itself contains only a script; so the last errors are related to the fact that
the desktop files etc. point to a script and not a binary.
The package sets STEAM_RUNTIME=0 in /etc/profile.d/steam.*; so the download
client and the Steam client itself do NOT use Ubuntu libraries (the Steam
runtime) for running; but instead use the Fedora system provided ones.
