[Bug 1992] New: Review Request: winetricks - Package manager for Win32 DLLs and applications on POSIX
by RPM Fusion Bugzilla
http://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1992
Summary: Review Request: winetricks - Package manager for Win32
DLLs and applications on POSIX
Product: Package Reviews
Version: Current
Platform: All
OS/Version: GNU/Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: Review Request
AssignedTo: rpmfusion-package-review(a)rpmfusion.org
ReportedBy: tc(a)tchol.org
CC: rpmfusion-package-review(a)rpmfusion.org
Estimated Hours: 0.0
Spec: http://tchol.org/rpmfusion/winetricks.spec
SRPM: http://tchol.org/rpmfusion/winetricks-20110629-1.fc16.src.rpm
Description:
Winetricks is an easy way to work around problems in Wine.
It has a menu of supported games/apps for which it install all workarounds
automatically. It also lets you install missing DLLs or tweak various Wine
settings individually.
It can be used via a GUI or the command line, whichever you prefer. The command
line mode is particularly useful as a building block in fancier Wine front-ends
and in automated regression testing.
$ rpmlint SPECS/winetricks.spec
SPECS/winetricks.spec: W: no-%build-section
0 packages and 1 specfiles checked; 0 errors, 1 warnings.
$ rpmlint RPMS/noarch/winetricks-20110629-1.fc16.noarch.rpm
1 packages and 0 specfiles checked; 0 errors, 0 warnings.
This package is not eligible for Fedora because, while it is free itself, it is
used to install numerous non-free software packages. Typically it downloads an
installer from an official source and simply runs its via Wine, so users have
the opportunity to review the EULA of individual packages to see if the terms
are legal and/or acceptable to them before installing non-free software on
their systems.
I'm not a current RPMFusion or Fedora packager.

[Bug 3335] New: Review Request: libde265 - Open H.265 video codec implementation
by RPM Fusion Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3335
Bug #: 3335
Summary: Review Request: libde265 - Open H.265 video codec
implementation
Classification: Unclassified
Product: Package Reviews
Version: Current
Platform: All
OS/Version: GNU/Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: Review Request

ReportedBy: mail(a)joachim-bauch.de

SRPM URL: http://www.joachim-bauch.de/static/fedora/libde265-0.8-1.fc20.src.rpm
Description:
libde265 is an open source implementation of the H.265 video codec.
It is written from scratch for simplicity and efficiency. Its simple
API makes it easy to integrate it into other software.
The package was rejected for Fedora
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1129691) because "HEVC
implementations (of which h265 is one) have exactly the same legal problems as
previous codecs backed by the MPEG consortium.". See
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1129691 for further information.
Feedback from comment #2 of that bug has been incorporated.
This is my first RPM fusion package, I'm looking for somebody to review and
sponsor it.
rpmlint output for the RPMs:

Description :
This plugin enables VDR to write compliant DVDs from VDR recordings
while being able to control the process and to watch progress from
inside VDRs on-screen-display. If the selected recordings don't fit
the DVD, the video tracks are requantized (shrinked) automatically.
The created menus support multipage descriptions (in case the
recording summary exceeds one page).
