[Bug 3912] New: Review request: lives - LiVES is a Video Editing System
by RPM Fusion Bugzilla

Bug #: 3912
Summary: Review request: lives - LiVES is a Video Editing
System
Classification: Unclassified
Product: Package Reviews
Version: Current
Platform: All
OS/Version: GNU/Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: Review Request
AssignedTo: rpmfusion-package-review(a)rpmfusion.org
ReportedBy: anto.trande(a)gmail.com

SPEC: https://sagitter.fedorapeople.org/lives/lives.spec
SRPM: https://sagitter.fedorapeople.org/lives/lives-2.4.6-1.fc23.src.rpm
Description:
LiVES began in 2002 as the Linux Video Editing System.
Since it now runs on more operating systems: LiVES is a Video Editing System.
It is designed to be simple to use, yet powerful.
It is small in size, yet it has many advanced features.
It's not eligible in Fedora because requires 'ffmpeg' and other packages
outside Fedora repos.
Note:
I seen previous request (https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1936),
I have chose to install 'libweed' as private library in /usr/lib/lives because
it's used only by LiVES, and also distributed in LiVES's source archive only.
/usr/lib/lives directory also cointains 'weed' header files.
'Exec' key in the .desktop file is changed in order to point the LIBRARY_PATH
to new location of private libraries.
src package provides an appdata file.
frei0r.so library seems missing, I can't find it in Fedora so 'frei0r' support
is disabled yet.
Still unavailable some libraries like faad2 and libdca (and others) in
RPMFusion Free for Fedora 23, therefore some Requires packages (mencoder,
mplayer) cannot be installed together with LiVES.

Various pkgs missing from f24 repos
by Hans de Goede
Hi All,
First of all many thanks to all who have been involved in getting the f24
repos in place. They look great and all the important pkgs are there.
I accidentally found out that some not so important pkgs are missing
though when running dnf repoquery --extras on my main workstation
which has way too much stuff installed :)
Doing this gives the following (incomplete list):
-For f24 free:
-SheepShaver
-vbam
-madplay
-mock-rpmfusion-free
-wormsofprey
-xmris
-zsnes
-For f24 nonfree:
-d1x
-doom-shareware
-unrar
-mac
-mock-rpmfusion-nonfree
-roadfighter
-smc-music
-spear-demo
-vice
-wolf4sdl
-xv
All of these do have builds for older Fedora releases in the new
koji, so the easiest fix likely is to simple tag these as
f24-free-updates / f24-nonfree-updates .
There seem to be 2 underlying problems:
1) The f24 repo did not inherit any builds from previous releases
(assuming we want to keep the base f24 pkg set frozen we cannot fix
this now)
2) Some pkgs never got rebuild for f24, I've not checked all of the
above, but for those which I've checked there are no failed f24 builds,
they were likely simply never rebuild.
As said for starters I think we should tag these into f24-free-updates /
f24-nonfree-updates. Quite a few of the above (incomplete!) list are
mine, so I will prepare f24 builds for them.
I've already prepared and pushed a vice update for this, but
rfpkg new-sources is failing for me, and as is already known
rfpkg build does not work yet.
Regards,
Hans

[Bug 4159] New: Review request: tvheadend - TV streaming server and digital video recorder
by RPM Fusion Bugzilla

SRPM URL:
http://pikachu.2014.free.fr/public/packages/tvheadend/tvheadend-4.0.9-1.f...
Description:
Tvheadend is a TV streaming server and recorder supporting DVB-S, DVB-S2,
DVB-C,
DVB-T, ATSC, IPTV, SAT>IP and HDHomeRun as input sources.
Tvheadend offers the HTTP (VLC, MPlayer), HTSP (Kodi, Movian) and SAT>IP
streaming.
Multiple EPG sources are supported (over-the-air DVB and ATSC including OpenTV
DVB extensions, XMLTV, PyXML).
The Analog video (V4L) is supported directly up to version 3.4. In recent
version, the pipe:// source (in IPTV network) might be used to obtain the
MPEG-TS stream generated by ffmpeg/libav from a V4L device.
Why not in Fedora? This package depends on ffmpeg, which is in RPM Fusion.
Note: a review for tvheadend already exists, but seems to be stalled for more
than one year (https://bugzilla.rpmfusion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3667).

updating ffmpeg to 3.1.x in rawhide
by Julian Sikorski
Hi list,
now that the dust following the f24 release and related infra work
(thank you everyone involved) has settled, I believe we should update
ffmpeg to 3.1.x in f25. While we will likely need to update once again
to 3.2.x before f25 release (ffmpeg runs on 3 monthly schedule as
opposed to Fedora's 6 months), updating early allows to weed out any
build issues early on.
I have done a test rebuild and found the following:
- there are currently 40 packages dependent on ffmpeg
- out of those, 37 rebuilt correctly
- 3 have failed:
- kodi: failure looks related to curl, not to ffmpeg
- mlt: strange error, something about zval. build.log crashes gedit
- xpra-codecs-freeworld: avcodec_decode_video2 is deprecated
Given the small number of failures, I would be aiming to push the new
ffmpeg to rawhide and rebuild dependent packages on Saturday. Please
speak up if you don't agree.
Best regards,
Julian

resubmit some packages on rawhide
by Sérgio Basto
Hello,
I thought writing before do , since we have rawhide with less broken
deps (more operational) . I intend resubmit: freeguide-0.11-
4.fc25, desmume-0.9.11-1.fc25, kwave-0.8.99-7.fc25 and terminatorX-
4.0.0-1.fc25 .
I checked all these builds and the result was "(...)mock exited with
status 30; see root.log" , if says "see root.log" means that doesn't
even start to build.
Thanks and best regards,

Description:
DevedeNG is a program to create video DVDs and CDs (VCD, sVCD or CVD),
suitable for home players, from any number of video files, in any of the
formats supported by FFMpeg.
The suffix NG is because it is a rewrite from scratch of the old Devede, to
work with Python3 and Gtk3, and with a new internal architecture that allows
to expand it and easily add new features.
Why this package is not eligible to be included in Fedora?
It depends on other packages in RPM Fusion.

The "explicit-lib-dependency" error is erroneously raised by rpmlint because it
the package name has lib in its name.
Warnings can be safely ignored.
