Security team for RPM Fusion
by Nicolas Chauvet
Hi,
As I've received some security request related to one of our package,
I've setup a mail alias with as security(a)rpmfusion.org for security
(sensitive) requests.
This is only open to provenpackager yet, but anyone from this group can apply.
I would like few people to volunteer to be in this group and some
documentation to be made on the wiki to describe the mail address.
Thx in advance.

Re: Switching from GCC to llvm-clang for building chromium(vaapi)
by Akarshan Biswas
Hi.
Chromium's debuginfo verbosity can be controlled by a gyp flag
"symbol_level". A value of 0 disables it completely. It didn't failed
because of memory consumption. Memory usage was much lower than GCC. It
failed because exact-debuginfo.sh doesn't support clang(and llvm). I
saw errors.

Akarshan Biswas

Switching from GCC to llvm-clang for building chromium(vaapi)
by Akarshan Biswas
Hi.
I really like to switch to llvm clang from GCC for building chromium.
Reasons are as follows:
1) The upstream doesn't test with GCC and has switched to llvm - clang
completely(<https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTg4MDI>).
2) Gold linker which supports some flags used by chromium has come to a
deadend. Upstream no longer actively advancing this linker and thus
raising concerns it could begin to suffer from bit-rot. Meanwhile,
Fedora's Looking To Punt It Off Into A Separate Package.
3) Most of the time, the build freezes and later, fails with out of
memory error while building with GCC and GNU ld and sometimes linker
crashes and the build fails.
4) There is a outstanding bug in gold linker for fedora 30 and above. I
have reported to bugzilla but I have no hope to get it fix because of
reasons stated in 1 and 2.
5) This is not an official chromium of Fedora.
With the above stated reasons, I am willing to know your
suggestions/opinions on this. Building with GCC has become quite a
headache for me. If it goes against the packaging rules, I think we can
make an exception for this particular package.
Thank you,
Regards,
Akarshan Biswas

[Bug 3576] New: Review request: obs-studio - Open Broadcaster Software Studio

Open Broadcaster Software is free and open source software for video recording
and live streaming.
OBS is not in Fedora because it depends on ffmpeg and other non free software.
I need to be sponsored as this is my first package and I'm not sponsored in
Fedora.
OBS studio has some issues with placing files in correct location, there was a
discussion about this (https://github.com/jp9000/obs-studio/pull/391). I think
that all of these errors are related to this.
rpmlint outputs:

Mass branch should be done soon, in one or two weeks , ATM rawhide from
RPMFusion , use F30 branch as base repos ( as usual ) . And it will be
announced on this mailing list .
Mass rebuilds of somane bumps are in progress (manner of speech), x265
and x264 are done and ready for F30 ...
Best regards,

Expedite Latest Discord Build
by Sean Callaway
Good evening,
Due to the nature of the Discord application, when they update versions,
they prevent previous versions from connecting. So, those using the
RPMFustion version of Discord are unable to login until they get the latest
version. If the build in testing can be pushed to stable, that'd be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean Callaway

Re: [ffmpeg] Mass rebuild for x264
by Sérgio Basto
FTBFS only in x86_64 because doesn't find x264-devel !
As "last resource" I tried :
koji-rpmfusion tag-build f30-free-override x264-0.157-1.20190303git72db437.fc30
but didn't work
