Improves the quick-docs/howto infra task
by Nicolas Chauvet
Hi there,
There is an recent discussion to improve the documentation using
generated docs from git
(same as fedora quick-docs or others).
I would like to open this infra task to anyone with the possibility to
hand-over a test vm with admin access to setup the whole process.
The idea is to use the vm to setup the wiki from github remote (or
something else so we can have access easily to post-commit or else).
Ideally I'd like to have
From my side, I'd like to have theses features:
- Using a staging instance/url to have preview (which search engine
indexing disabled in robots.txt).
- RPM Fusion CSS/Skin
- Generation with post-commit or cron (either way)
I have a preference with the Fedora setup of quick-docs (using ansible
already exists).
This wiki should be able to be translated into others languages.
(default to en_US or whatever the browser).
A nice to have feature would be to fetch the existing content in our
wiki to have a mean for automatic conversion.

Fedora already references google-chrome proprietary repository. And
rpmfusion-nonfree is made by nonfree software (some open, some others
are closed like nvidia).
I also note that RussianFedora redistributes several proprietary
applications, some with explicit permission from the holder, some
others without.
So I dont' see any argument behind that we can't trust proprietary repository.
At least if a repository is well know and won't replace any of our
packages, there is no reason for end-users not to use it.

What are trusted repositories ?
by Nicolas Chauvet
Hi there,
In some review, some has mentioned the notion of "trused repositories".
Can we have clarification on this notion and what we expect for this ?
Can we trust proprietary repo ?
What can be audited (even when closed source software).
What level of trust can we expect or not ?
At least previously we had a page listing some repositories that would
be compatible:
https://rpmfusion.org/FedoraThirdPartyRepos (linked from the fp.o page).
Thx

RPM Fusion is branched for f31
by Nicolas Chauvet
Hi there,
.. or actually this is still a work in progress because the fedora
development/31 repos aren't published so far. and there is no rawhide
release rpm yet on our side.
But at least, the f31 branches are there, so please remind to push
(and build) for f31 also.
master now point to f32.
Thx
