This is the tarball linked from the project page.
I use the ppa link because it is used for rc too
I may add another if to use the "official" tarball
As for the git snapshots, it seems to me that it would be better to rely on
applying patches to the previous stable release than pulling git snapshots
regularly.
I wish, but the project is highly active and backporting patches isn't trivial,
as they rely on previous ones most of the time.
