So if I understand correctly you want to take over the roll as
submitter of
this package and
maintain it in rpmfusion?
I'm certainly not opposed to the idea, but my first preference would be someone
with more experience. However if no one else will, then yes.
Are you already a maintainer of packages (a packager) in Fedora
itself?
If so, then you need to find a reviewer of this package (just say the word and
I'll volunteer). If you're
not a Fedora packager yet, then you need to find someone to sponsor you, and
show you the ropes,
normally we prefer if people become a Fedora packager first, see:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PackageMaintainers/Join
If you've no packages you're interested in submitting / maintaining for Fedora
itself, we could
do a similar traject here.
This would be the only package, so no, I'm not already a Fedora packager. I
pick thing up pretty quickly though. I have some Python experience including
maintaining a package on sourceforge (discspan) and some BASH script hacking.
One thing I think I can figure out but a hint would save some time. I know the
preference is to depend on something IN a package and not the package itself. I
know openshot needs the mlt-melt executable but I'm not sure what requires the
mlt-python package. As far as frei0r-plugins, it's just a collection of what
looks to be effect libraries so I think we would need to require the package
for that one.
