Hello, IIRC, firewing1 has dropped support for avidemux some time ago, requesting for a new maintainer. This package currently need an rebuild in {not_yet}Branched/F15 because of x264 which will probably request an update also If someone interested please raise a hand. Thx Nicolas (kwizart)

New package question

I may be getting my terminology mixed up but now that I'm officially a package maintainer, does that make me an a "RPMFusion Sponsored Packager"? If so, do I skip some parts of the package review process? (i.e. blocking bug 30?) I've got another package put together, imagination, which is a simple slide show creator that I'd like to get added to RPMFusion. I've got it building cleanly in mock and rpmlint on all the packages and on the installed package are clean. I think I'm good with the guidelines but could certainly use some help making sure. One question related to the spec file. The guidelines are a little unclear when you have to do ldconfig. This package does create .so libraries, but they are installed into their own directory, not directly into /usr/lib{,64} and as far as I know they are not available for other applications to link against. Currently the binary RPM doesn't include MP4Box, and the source RPM doesn't build. This submission will fix that. rpmlint mentions some harmless comments in the spec file that I didn't remove because they were present in the previous version, and missing manpages for some binaries - manpages for mp4box and mp4client are provided, however. There's also the source tarball pulled straight from gpac's CVS repository which needs to be hosted somewhere. I've been using MP4Box built from this SRPM for a while, and it seems to work fine. Osmo4 crashes on start, but that's nothing new. I haven't tried the rest yet. I just finished getting the SRPM to cross-compile for a 32-bit target on a 64-bit platform, so that should be okay. New contributor introduction

Hello everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself to the list. I'm not particularly verbose so I hope this will do. I look forward to contributing to other packages after I improve my packaging knowledge base. I guess one thing I can brag about is apparently I'm the first person to become a RPMFusion packager without having first become a Fedora packager! I'm working on a few packages for Fedora[1,2] but openshot just happened to get approved first. Thanks, Richard M. Shaw [1] openCOLLADA: 3D import and export library. Blender is the only linux user I know of but it's compiled in staticly by default so has been stripped out of the default Fedora build. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=694287 [2] discspan: I'm co-maintiner of this project on sourceforge. It's a (relatively) simple python script to archive files in a directory structure to CD or DVD. It doesn't compress or tar them together so each file is individually accessible. Good for archiving picture and music libraries since the files are generally already compressed (jpeg, mp3, ogg, etc.). I'm still getting the package into shape for submission...

Newbie question: needsign?

Ok, I searched the old mailing list archives as best I could but didn't find a good answer. I assume that NEEDSIGN is a flag/queue of some sort where the package sits until it is signed with the repo key? What's the process from this point? Do I need to do anything else? Will my package go into -testing? Since it's the first release I don't know that would be beneficial... Thanks, Richard
