European digital radio & television uses the DVB standard to broadcast its
data. Project X gives you a look behind the transmissions and tries its best
to handle & repair many stream types and shows what went wrong on reception.
In particular, it is able to demultiplex the different streams in a
transmission.
It can not be included in Fedora for patent reasons, see the thread at
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-legal-list/2009-April/msg00020.html
Rpmlint is happy except that it complains about missing buildroot tag. But I'm
only aiming for F12 and the guidelines doesn't require any such tag any more.
(Since it is ignored anyway.)
This is the first time I package for RPM Fusion. (But I have packaged for
Fedora before, although just a single package, ttf2pt1, so I'm already
sponsored.)

http://www.webalice.it/musuruan/RPMS/reviews/frogatto-1.0-1.fc12.nosrc.rpm
Because of the large size of the upstream source package and the small size of
my web space I made a nosrc.rpm.
Please download the tarball with:
$ spectool -g frogatto.spec
* Description:
An old-school 2D platform game, starring a certain quixotic frog. Frogatto
has gorgeous, high-end pixel art, pumping arcade tunes, and all the gameplay
nuance of a classic console title. Run and jump over pits and enemies. Grab
enemies with your tongue, swallow them, and then spit them out at other enemies
as projectiles! Fight dangerous bosses, and solve vexing puzzles. Collect coins
and use them to buy upgrades and new abilities in the store. Talk to characters
in game, and work to unravel Big Bad Milgram's plot against the townsfolk!
* Why not in Fedora?
This package is not eligible for Fedora because its data are not
released under a Fedora acceptable license ("Good Licenses"):
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Licensing:Main#Content_Licenses
Upstream has given its explicit consensus in packaging Frogatto for
RPM Fusion.
* Rpmlint:
$ rpmlint /home/andrea/rpmbuild/SRPMS/frogatto-1.0-1.fc12.nosrc.rpm
frogatto.nosrc: W: spelling-error %description -l en_US gameplay -> game play,

frogatto-debuginfo.x86_64: W: invalid-license proprietary
1 packages and 0 specfiles checked; 0 errors, 1 warnings.
License is not valid for Fedora but good for RPM Fusion (nonfree repository).
Ignore the spelling of gameplay - it is correct AFAIK.

Why not in Fedora?
Package contains a nonfree license:
Plese refer: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/RexDieter/openmotif
Known issues:
opemmotif-devel has a conflict with lesstif-devel. But mesa-libGLw-devel
depends on lesstif-devel. So we need a virtual provides 'motif-devel' on
lesstif-devel and mesa-libGLw-devel.

RPM Fusion for EPEL-6
by Lubomir Rintel
Hi,
I'm seriously interested in maintaining my RPM Fusion packages for EL-6
(actually, I'd be glad if we had a multimedia stack for it as well),
given I'll probably end up with an el6 desktop.
There are no branches done currently, nor builders are set up and I'm
not to sure what do I need to get them. Can I be helpful here? If yes,
how?
Thanks in advance,
Lubo

Web hosting?
by Andrea Musuruane
Hi all!
I've just packaged Frogatto (http://www.frogatto.com/) but SRPM is
about 130Mb and it is by far bigger than the current available web
storage I have. Do someone have some suggestion? Or maybe some free
space? ;-)
Thanks!
Regards,
Andrea.

Fwd: Build Error (Job 7702): mame-0_139-1_fc13 on fedora-13-rpmfusion_nonfree
by Julian Sikorski
Dear all,
Were there any changes on builder.wilsonet.com recently which might have
affected the amount of ram/swap available? Apparently this file is a
beast and insufficient memory will manifest in a manner similar to what
happened here.
